help Easy way to resize jpegs?

Hi support.

I'm looking for a way to resize pictures to 199kb (to upload to simplyrandom).

Obv. I can fiddle about with skewing the images in paint but it's not an exact science so it makes resizing a set of pics a lengthy process.

I only have microsoft paint and I certainly don't want to pay for a program that will do this.

Any suggestions/tips would be great.
Thanks.

I use this:

Easy drag and drop application...really small and unobtrusive...works great

If you haven't got Irfanview on your computer then you should have. It's one of the best pieces of freeware available , it's well known and respected and it's been around for years (though regularly updated)
It's a really easy to use program with immense capabilities.I have used it as my default image viewer since my first Win95 computer all those years ago.It will resize pictures easily and convert them into any image filetype.

Hear hear! Likewise, it's my default viewer, loads quick and easy, does slide shows and image manipulation. I've also used it for the past 200 years.

And it's a good price ....... free!

If you just want to alter the size, the FASTEST way I've found to do this is to open the image in Paint, save it and .. that's it. As long as there is no quality loss, you should be good since it'll take a very large file size and make it much smaller file size.

If you want to change the dimensions, use paint.net or photoshop or ...anything other than paint since it'll kill the image.
