Question 2 FireFox?

There a way to load 2 versions of Firefox and have both work?

I wanted to run a "disable all image" version to update my lists with and my normal "I wanna see images" version.

If not then does Opera or another browser have such a function as Adblocker Plus?

Currently I am using a old single core 2.8ghz Celeron chip so it hard to load all the crap pages request of it. + all my imagebam screenshots.

If you see a authentication error when extracting don't worry it was a corruption in my winRAR key. Let it finish extracting and it will run just fine.

So you're running FF3 now, right? If so just try installing FF2 and see what happens backup first and create a restore point in case of melt down

Well it worked but I have a issue it works but it carries it over to both versions.

So I ban all the images or disable scripts in 2.0 but I go to 3.0 and every image is banned as well....some reason the add-ons share between the versions.

Opera has a option though so it works out in the end thanks for the help though

Though Opera has a crappy adblock...disable javascript + disable images = same result.

You do know that Opera has a built in option to set images to 'show', 'cached only', or 'none'? Just click on 'view' and then 'images'...

Opera's ad block works brilliantly once you understand that you need to configure it with a wildcard...

So if you are trying to block all images from a host, you have to reedit the blocked image, so say you click on and block:

http://imageguys.com/images/anotherwebsite/44.jpg

just reedit that to read:

http://imageguys.com/images/*
or
http://imageguys.com/*

and you'll have blanket blocking...

This is why I love Opera...it has all you need built-in.

Another solution is to run firefox portable, it will run alongside FF as a standalone app.

Why not just have two different profiles on the same version?

And when you upgrade to a new version, everything keeps running BECAUSE it's built in. No waiting for the extension makers to put out new versions. Glad I'm not the only one with love for Opera around here.

You can have more than one lot of settings for Firefox. So each profile could have different addons, bookmarks, history settings etc. It's dead easy to set up and you can switch from one to the other quite easily.
