i dunno uploading pics

good day all. im tryin to upload some pics of the missus and i clicked the upload image button at the top and tried to upload a pic. it says that the pic is too big. how do i get around this problem? never knew it was going to be this hard to show the wifes box!!

Do you have any photo editing software on the computer?
If you only have a few pics you can cut down the size one at a time.

If you have a bunch you need a batch resizer

Here's a good tutorial by Legmann

that resizer of legmanns is for XP. im running vista. as for photo editing software, im not sure. will take a look now. thanks for the help.

you can use irfanview to batch resize your pics

Vista should come with "MS paint" or something similar that should do the trick

I use it and it works great. Very small and unobtrusive program...works on XP and Vista.

I could make a joke about your wife's large box, but I'll hold off.

I use Photofiltre, it's similar to most programs suggested here.Small, easy to use yet robust enough to handle all your photo needs

Googles Picasa does resizing and PIXresizer works in Vista both free

That's just the first resizer I mentioned. I also included a first rate batch resizer, in the section on the Multiple Uploader.
