Question MyVideo converter

So i use MVC and i just downloaded a shit load of music videos. my problem is they are in a MP4 format and by default they open with nokia media player for some reason. also for some reason i cant play them on nokia media player so i wanted to convert them to either AVI or MPEG but everytime i try to add the task to MVC it says failed to init source file.

also i dont have a MP4 codec for windows but what i really wanted to do is put the music videos on a CD so i can play the at home in my DVD player, thats why i needed to convert to MPEG or AVI(my DVD player plays these formats).

anyway i want to know if anyone knows how to fix this problem or could give me some advice on how to fix it.

ta

just to explain a bit more...

i downloaded the videos from a torrent site, they are for an ipod but just last week(and this week actually) i downloaded songs that were for an ipod and they played on WMP11 and i stored them(the songs) on my phone(nokia expressmusic) and they worked fine.

but as far as i know(knew) iphone vids are in a MP4 format and can be viewed from any media player with a MP4 viewer...isnt it?

To play those MP4 files on the PC just get VLC media player for Windows... it will play most anything... and to make a DVD out of them use VSO ConvertXtoDVD.

PM me if you need a link.

Yeah, use VLC to view mp4 files.

Use SUPER to convert anything to anything else i.e. mp4 to avi or mpg
http://www.erightsoft.com/SUPER.html

It's free but the download link is hard to find on that site just keep clicking download and you'll get to the correct page.

wouldn't just the generic K-lite codec pack throw in the ffdshow codec and he could see his nokia/ipod/video/song whatevers on the WMP without converting a ton of shit?
