It's been a while since I played with Opera . . . I think I'll have to check it out.

You're not the only one. Theres a lot of issues with add-on compatibilities that are causing problems.

I can't get flash player to work with ff3. Flash player says it can't find a version of ff. Which is a pisser. Especially since my IE now for some reason runs, to quote Blackadder, like "an asthmatic ant with some heavy shopping".

If I click a link to a video FF takes a dive... and I've tried all kinds of fixes.

the flash problems arent firefox's end. its adobe's. flash has become a bug ridden peice of crap software. theres security holes in flash that havent been fixed in over a year.

im not defending ff3 though, its bloated and full of bugs aswell.

ff2 with flashblock ftw. no more 100%cpu when loading pages with flash.

Have you a million codec packages?
Try uninstalling them all and just put on Xvid, DivX, Real Alternative and QuickTime Lite

Not only can you do it, they are still updating FF v2
Simply download the version you want from the Mozilla site. You will keep all your personal settings etc when reverting so no need to worry about bookmarks and things like that.
The VERY latest v2 isn't compatible with No Script and this is a very powerful aid against malware so I'm sticking with 2.0.0.16

V2 will only be supported until mid-December according to the website.
I've just installed v3 and so far, other than minor tweaks, it is working well enough.
