Stupid Computer been Crashing

Hay my computer has been crashing at unpredictable times. I cant read what the screen says cause it looks real blurry when it happens. Is there a way to look up to see why my laptop crashes?

Have you installed new software recently?

Does it crash in safe mode? Try a system restore.

Done a Windows update lately? Some new patch... like DirectX... may require an updated graphics card driver.

I think that might be it. I am in safe mode right now. I deleted a removed a few things. But i did update my Flash player and that use direct x.

I am looking into right now. The message i am getting is really shaky and hard to read but it says something like cant write any then to memory. Dumping memory.

Take it easy grumpy, I was trying to help. Didn't want to hog the thread, that's all.

it's just what worked for me - a little tip if all else fails - to update every driver. Mostly I reinstall once my system gets to slow, just keeping the best programs.

Another great prog. is Your uninstaller, eliminates a lot of crap that us builds up everytime you install something.

Peace

Anything in the Event Viewer?
Start-Control Panel-Admin Tools-Event Viewer.
There is a set of error logs, the one you want is System.Worth having a look at the others though.

your ntfs file system on windows appears to have a corrupt sector. Reformatting your hard drive would be one solution.

If you double click on an error line it gives more information.
Try running CHKDSK - it will check the integrity of the disk and may be able to map out any corrupted part. Use Google and go for the full chkdsk.
