and the only changes
in desktop/themes are whether I want to have the black background or the off-black background

yeah just spent half a day figuring out why vista wont use 5.1 surround sound in windows media player 11 seems i had to download a third party app (srs audio soundbox) to make it work untill Vista releases a fix

that being said i do like it now though and it makes use of my new hardware.

although im still dual booting with XP as well

I always appreciate the tip...and you know my penchant for shiny, cool graphics but...

I've never used a Mac myself, friend showed me his a while back (OS10 I believe)
and I loved the interface

I just can't help seeing a lot of Mac OS ripoffs in Vista

Seriously if I bought Vista (I think over 400 dollars Cdn right now) and it prevented me from running one program
or game...or a sound glitch like you ran into...that would be it.I would drive down to Billy G's house and firmly
insert the disc into his A-drive

You know that I'm not a demanding user...play a few games, burn a few DVD's, look at a few boobies,
listen to some tunes, so XP handles it all well with nary a bump along the way since day one.

Last year when I met Papafat I played with some shiny new icons before Vista came out..

it does look nice... and i agree with your reasoning, problem is you will be forced to go Vista eventually. as we were with XP

i like the blend of old and new. if you ever feel like being game i will show you how to "obtain" vista and dual-boot it with XP so you can get use to it,

um... dare i ask what the gerbal song is?
