Thank man, I just have one question. If it's a long video, do you have to watch the whole thing first, or just wait till buffering is at 100%?

From what I've seen, Once the buffering is complete, the vid is in the cache.

On the other hand, with long videos, they might buffer several times. In that case, it might not all be there till the last buffering.

Try a couple of experiments, and let us know the results!

Serious answer...

I use the (oft mentioned here..) DownloadHelper addon for Firefox.
I use it on my Mac here at home and on my PC in work. Both versions work excellently and can extract from 90% of sites that embed videos.
Then I just play the videos back as FLV's using standalone players.

so there...

I've uncovered a new goodie about the IE cache!

Do you ever come across flash slideshows and galleries with pics you want, but you can't save them directly from the page?

Well...

If you're using IE, it's easy. Just get them from the cache after viewing them.

For example, here's a page with a flash slideshow.

http://sports.aol.com/photos/career-...625x1200564420

Trying to save the pics from the page itself is rather futile, however...

I looked at a few pics, went to my cache, and copied all jpegs in there to a folder. In addition to a bunch of thumbs, the pics I was looking at were there, also.

Here's a few.

You may want to do a Disk Cleanup first, since every (and I mean every) pic you've looked at since the last time you cleaned your cache will be there.

The IE cache is a treasure trove!
