Im a cena-hater so as long as it wasnt cena getting the title back, Im happy. Edge is not one of my favs but he's way better in my book than cena. RVD's way better than either of the other two, I just wish he didnt get caught with his stash. BTW- if RVD does end up getting fired over all of this, you still have a chance to see him one more time tonite on the ECW show on sci-fi channel. And unless WWE plans on contridicting their own policies, he will get fired.

UPDATE on the RVD and SABU Issue: More and more information is coming out regarding the arrests of both RVD (Real Name: Robert Alex Szatowski) and Sabu (Real Name: Terry Michael Brunk) last night. The most recent report in the Ironton Newspaper is stating pretty much the same facts that the men were arrested for posession of drugs, but also that their court date has changed. Here is the relevant portion of that article: Szatowski and Brunk were cited, posted bond at the scene and were scheduled to appear in Ironton Municipal Court Thursday morning. However, sources at the courthouse say the date has been changed, but has yet to be determined. No word on if tonight's title change had anything to do with the arrest, but one would assume that no title change (if one was even planned) was going to take place until Saturday Night Main Event. I will continue to update this story as more information becomes available.

MORE: The title situation and ECW show tonight is most likely a complete mess. There is no doubt that WWE did not plan on RVD losing his title(s) last night. While he still held onto the ECW Championship, he lost the WWE Championship to Edge. The most telling sign that RVD was not supposed to lose the title last night is on ECW.com where they still have a BIG advertisement that states: Extreme Rules Match: For the ECW & WWE Championships with a photo of Edge & RVD. So obviously, with tonight being ECW's one big shot at running solo and in one of their largest markets, WWE had planned on RVD being put over strong. Also, you will notice that there was no mention of Sabu last night on WWE. Just another indication of how WWE has already possibly hit the panic button when it comes to these two. They have however, updated ECW.com with the news of the arrests of both RVD and Sabu and have added a short blob about Edge winning the title last night that reads the following: During the Triple Threat Match for the WWE Championship on RAW, John Cena hit RVD with an FU and appeared to be on his way to winning gold. However, Edge nailed Cena with the WWE Championship belt and then covered the already fallen RVD for the victory. The Preview for tonight still reads that Edge will face RVD For the WWE & ECW Titles. I guess you could assume that RVD vs Edge is still on for tonight with each one of them putting up their belts - that way WWE doesn't have to backtrack from the Main Event they have been advertising for over a week. However, with all of this going on, you better believe WWE is being very cautious with both Sabu and RVD. WWE won't be able to accord any special treatment to the two superstars and may have to set an example with the both of them that they are not going to allow drugs into their locker room. It will be interesting to see what happens, but you better believe that ECW is hanging by a lifeline right now with Sabu and RVD's futures in the balance. Without those two, ECW is void of any major superstar while Kurt Angle is away on hiatus. Added to that, ECW would be without any true "ECW Original" leader. In the end, it may not be Vince McMahon that brought ECW down, but two of it's very own for their stupidity this past weekend.

From ECW.com: Heyman to address ECW World Heavyweight Championship July 4, 2006 Last night on RAW, Edge captured the WWE Championship by defeating Rob Van Dam in a Triple Threat Match. As a result of last night’s show, the state of tonight’s edition of ECW on Sci Fi is up in the air. ECW.com has learned that ECW representative Paul Heyman will open the show by addressing the status of the ECW World Heavyweight Championship, which as of this moment is still held by Rob Van Dam. Also, ECW.com can confirm that vivacious exhibitionist Kelly is promising to provide a special salute to America on this 4th of July. hehehehe, the lovely kelly ![]() ![]() ![]()

to your opinion. But your opinion is a load of shit. Rey is one of the most innovative wrestlers ever. He has re-created the wrestling styles as we know em. He may not be a "heavyweight" but his contribution to the wrestling industry has been "heavier" than probly 75% of the wrestlers who have held that belt. Do I think other cruiserweights should get that kind of oppurtunity to hold the world title? NO. But Rey deserves to be in that list of champs. A crock? | |

The Big Show Wins ECW World Title Story posted by Andy Figuera on July 04, 2006 The Big Show defeated Rob Van Dam to win the ECW World Title after chokeslamming RVD onto a chair after Paul Heyman came out and 'screwed' Van Dam. Van Dam hit the Five Star Frog Splash on Big Show and Heyman ran down and only counted to two. He then ordered Big Show to do the chokeslam and counted the three. The crowd chanted "You Sold Out" as the show went off the air. If you think WWE management isn't happy with RVD, you're right!
