Question Will Tony Stewart end up like Michael Waltrip?

Back in the day michael waltrip was on the DEI team and he was winning races and doing fine each year until he decided to leave and make his own team and now Tony Stewart is talking about leaving Joe Gibbs where he has been champion 2 times and has won alot of races to make his own team. (he is also the only person racing for Joe Gibbs that hasn't won a race this season)

Do you think the same thing will happen to Tony that happened to Michael if he makes his own team?

An active driver would be an idiot to make his own team. There's too much to loose by leaving an established multi-car team, especially one like Joe Gibbs' that is so successful.

But then, with his name and record he could get the financial backing to make a good team.

If he were asking me, which is isn't, I'd tell him to stay with Gibbs.

It was more like, he was shown the door! The days of owning, running, and winning are past! Alan Kulwicki was the last to win, and Dave Marcus closed that chapter. It's all about support, even K. Petty said it's too damn much to do! I think Stewart would kill his career if he does it!
