Portugal was a nightmare for the german team, but it was a weird tournament anyway, til the very end. At least the portuguese had a handful of really cool stadiums, not those pathetic shoeboxes this year's event will be played in.

But I'm still really lloking forward to the tournament because I expect it to have a lot of attack football this time.

Germany's coach Joachim Löw will announce a 25 man squad after the second to last day of bundesliga, they will then go through an intense training camp and the last two players will be weeded out. I suppose the ideal starting 11 would be:

Lehmann - Fritz, Mertesacker, Metzelder, Lahm - Frings, Schneider, Ballack and Borowski - Gomez and Klose in a classic 4-4-2 system or with a diamond shaped midfield. But it seems as if Schneider and Metzelder won't be recovering from injuries soon enough so they'll probably be replaced with one of the freidrichs for the defense and Schweinsteiger for the fourth midfield job.

I suppose we should be able to make the last four, but with so little difference between the teams it's ahrd to make predictions.

that sounds like a though team to beat...
italy is probably goig for a 4-2-3-1 with buffon - zambrotta, cannavaro, materazzi, grosso - de rossi, pirlo - camoranesi, perrotta, di natale - toni.
but it's very hard to say so, because of the shape of del piero, he's scoring as he never did before and it's difficoult to leave him outside. but that would mean to change the team quite a lot...

I guess Italy are my prime suspect for the title, no matter how Donadoni works out the Del Piero question. Luca Toni is in insane form these days, he scored almost a goal each game on average since he joined Bayern. I would never have thought a player with a ten million price tag could be a rock-bottom bargain...

quite a good deal, i guess.....
that's why milan was really upset when ronaldo was ko'd and gilardino began to sucks, they had toni, but they tought he was old and left him to bayern.....
how much his he payed? 2-3 million € a year? that's very little for how much he scores...

I think he earns some six million before taxes so he'll probably take home 3.5 million.

toni played in my city team, brescia, a quite long time ago...
he is very popular, we hope he will bring us to the victory in this european cup...
the problem is that big teams, like milan and inter, didn't gave him the thrust he deserved...
and it's one of my favorite, he made me win the past fantasy-league i make every year with my friends...
