NFL NFL (National Football League) US Football

Well I decided to start a thread about the other football, the American one. Not too sure if there are many members here follow the NFL. We'll soon find out.

Let's start by asking for predictions who will make to the Super Bowl in '08? Could it be Manning taking the Colts again, or will Brady and the Patriots pull through from the AFC? In the NFC, I am not too sure yet but I am still rooting for the Cowboys.

I started rooting for Green Bay after my 2 teams said F.U. to all thier fans in L.A. and left town. But now that Favre is hanging it up, it won't be the same now!

I think with a second season under his belt as a starter and the addition of a pass catching tight end plus Garrett Wolfe from SIU makes the Bears the class of the NFC. I think the Patriots will make it from the AFC.

Look out for the Niners this year!
They made some great off-season moves and did a decent draft.
Hopefully QB Alex Smith can show that he is the man for the job.

Once a Jets fan, always a Jets fan. Let the hand-wringing begin.

Is it only June? Football season can't start soon enough.

NFL Network is pretty lame. I hope they have improved it some. It needed lots of help.

Bears vs Patriots, Bears with the upset. But I'm from Chicago, so maybe I'm a little biased

The pre-draft coverage (combines, etc.) was mind-numbingly boring. The mini-camp and upcoming training camp coverage is bad too.

The America's Game series, on the other hand, was great. And anytime they run old NFL Films footage is good. Honestly, I could watch the old NFL Films stuff 24/7.

Being a 'Skins fan has been tough over the last 15 years or so. The Gibbs legacy is getting a little tarnished, and I'm not expecting it to get any better this year.

As for predictions, Carolina Panthers in the NFC vs. Baltimore Ravens in the AFC, with the Ravens winning.

I dont think that they will ever be that interesting since they can not be too negactively critical about teams, players, and staff. Since they are own by the NFL and they have allot of access.

How would you like to have to be friendly to the guy that says you have no clue what your doing and you make you Long Islands way too strong and you have to see him everyday.

Right now is the best time to put money on who you think might win the super bowl. I think the best super bowl bet out of the last 10 years was putting money on the Patriots to win the whole thing before the season started when they beat the Rams.

That said i know that the eagles are not going to win the superbowl this year i just no know why yet. I can not tell what exactly the Eagles need to win and stop being the best average team that has ever existed. I feel good about allot of positions. But i dont know what i should feel bad about. So please tell me what is going to stop the Eagles from winning this year.
