Nothin' wrong with the Jags (love Leftwich,) but aren't you going to root for the home team?

Just a follow up: Are there any cardinals in Phoenix?

i liked Leftwich too, he got released though. i guess they though David Garrard could be the man better than him.

i actually root for all the other home teams with this one exception. when i was a little kid, my favorite animal was a jaguar, and i have an aunt that lives in jacksonville that would send me stuff of theirs, so i started following them and i always stuck with it. people always expect a better story as to why i root for them, but thats it

as for them actually living here, i dont even think they do, at least ive never seen one. makes no sense

I've heard more arbitrary reasons for liking a team than family sentiments and connections. I suspect that one of my buddies only likes Dallas because of their colours.

It reminds me of The Lakers. How many lakes are in or around L.A.

im just happy the season is finally starting, going to a nearby sports bar with my father every sunday to watch the games is always the highlight of my week

the Lakers used to be in Minnesota, so i assume thats where they got the name

I'm somewhat fortunate that I also like the CFL. It relieves the football shakes during the summer. But I felt surprisingly excited tonight to have the NFL season under way.

Yeah I know. My point is that you would think that those sort of inconsistencies would have occurred to them when they relocated. I believe that the Cardinals were in St. Louis, weren't they?

I've never followed either the CFL or Arena football, maybe i should start though to aid me through those times

yes they were from St. Louis. I honestly dont know why sometimes they leave the team name. Like with the original Browns moving to Baltimore and becoming the Ravens, i dont know why they don't do that more.

I wouldn't worry too much...Denver hasn't exactly been lights out on offense in the preseason...I'm hoping for a win, but the way we've looked so far, I'm thinking no better than .500 this year

i dont usually put a ton of stock into the preseason, but im trying to convince myself otherwise for at least just this year, because Garrard tore it up those 4 games

We were horrible for years, not to mention all those playoff losses.

...but then again I understand. I hate the Lakers for pretty much the same reason.

we had that killer '99 season, before losing to the mother******* Titans

we've been behind you guys ever since then. but we're coming up! as long as Garrard is consistent.

If you were in another division I'd be rooting for you

...but you're not so

I just looked at your schedule. You get Lanz the week before me

Make sure you soften em up for us
