I thought I would never say this as a Sox fan, but I hope Boston trades Manny for the best possible deal we can make today. I know we will never get the value for him that he brings, but watching him play last night, he was just going thru the motions...basically daring the Red Sox to trade him.

I have had enough of 'Manny being Manny' and at $20 million a pop, it just isn't worth it anymore. Take what we can get, shed the salary and sign some free agents in the offseason....

I'm gonna miss Manny's antics very much though . He and Ortiz were quite entertaining duos for awhile there.

All the weirdos from the 2004 championship are gone now. Damon, Millar, Pedro, Manny, and Arroyo left Boston. I will miss them.

When I watched ESPN today, and Linda Cohn commented that Manny Ramirez
could be traded to the Dodgers, I thought 'no freaking way.' The Dodgers already have a worthless case in Andruw Jones. It would not work. So after the commercial break ESPN confirmed the trade. The news knocked me on my assembly line. I was still reeling after My Cincinnati Reds traded Junior Griffey. At least Ramirez will not cost the Dodgers a dime. ENJOY THE RIDE!

A real shame Jason Bay didn't end up in Toronto!

Jason Bay is having an awesome season and I think he will be able to step in admirably in the line-up...no he won't be quite as fearsome as Manny was at the plate, but at least he doesn't bring his own sideshow like Manny and I am quite sure he will want to be a member of the BoSox for a long time to come and not demand to be traded every year like Manny did

I have no idea WTF Manny's problem with Boston was. He was making $20 million a year, they have just won 2 of the last 4 World Series, the fans loved him and put up with all his crap year after year...what the hell more does he want? I say good riddance...

Dude, Manny was done in Boston, he made that perfectly clear in his last game with the Sox...did you see his at bats? He was basically daring the Red Sox to trade him...

Yeah, the whole deal was a big distraction for a couple of weeks now for the team. He always had beef with the front office with his contract but not the Boston fans and more love than hate with the media folks.

Bay scored the winning run tonight and it seems like the rest of players are ready to focus again. It's good they seem out of focus for awhile now.

Only right now, I saw that he's with the Dodgers! I'm watching the game right now. I heard them talking about trading him during the Angles game I was watching last week, but I had no idea it happened??

I don't really follow sports like I did in the past, it's tougher from over here. And with the kids, I have less time to read much of anything anymore.

What's his story?

He wanted out of his contract pure and simple. The Red Sox held 2 consecutive team options for 2009 and 2010 and ManRam was afraid the BoSox were gonna pick up those options. ManRam thinks he's worth more and he forced the Red Sox to trade him.

I'm sick of his antics and am glad to see him go. He's a locker room cancer and I say good riddance.

The Yankees miss the playoffs! The Yankees miss the playoffs!

I guess a $209 million payroll doesn't go as far as it used to

So much for the Angels and Cubs being the best teams in the MLB.

Red Sox has a 2-0 lead on the Angels, and coming back to Boston for a sweep.

Dodgers-led Manny Rameriz is killing the Cubs too.

Well, I'm not much of a baseball fan and definitely not a fan of the White Sox, but I hope they win tomorrow because I've got a ticket from work for Monday's game . . . . 5th row behind the dugout.
