now let me ramble a little............

a few people on here know that one of my hobbies is making model kits......as a kid i used to make planes and tanks and stuff......by mid teens i had other hobbies and interests and so stopped.......now after a 30 year layoff i recently took it up again.....a great stress buster.......i make mainly cars and bikes....i dont profess to be any good, im having to relearn old skills and learn new ones...early days yet.....i am now an active member of a modelling forum

a little while ago i was having a pm chat with someone on here who is an ex model maker and we were bouncing the idea of making a kit up for someone on here as a surprise .....the idea snowballed and has resulted in this little project and this thread

i am going to make a series of kits....the theme is what members would drive according to thier online personalities

for example......Southern Belle likes the biker lifestyle and likes to promote the 'redneck/southern' thing.....the result was the 'Rebel Ride' that she posted a little while back

its not enough to think 'what would they drive'.....there has to be a tie in with the online personality in some way....although there will be just one exception to this in a few weeks time

...oh yeah...and there will always be a 'Anothersite' bumper sticker somewhere

now there will be around 12 'victims' for these.......and i have kits for all of them already in my stash.....and there might be a few more yet

the majority will be 1/24th scale........so at the end i should be able to line them all up for a mass photo.....in fact, if i can get something that im after the last pic will be extra special

this thread will only be updated every now and then as it can take me a few weeks to do each one......only i know what i have planned for whom......only i know who/what will be coming next....so you can all start getting worried...

....some are going to be serious....some very funny......hopefully all will be kewl

....you will only know its you when that pm arrives in the mailbox and this thread gets updated.....i have 2 completed......numbers 3 and 4 are in progress

techy stuff......1/12th scale Revell 'kustom kuiser' kit....a few modifications to the basic kit.....self made decals

techy stuff.....1/24 Testors chevy c150.......lowered and pimped.....its about 8 inches long......the 'pussy wagon' logo is from 'Kill Bill'

..sorry for last pic.....its a dust magnet for some reason

Beautiful work, Beo! I've made many a model throughout the years and, as you said "a great stress buster". You've seen pics of my Harley in one of your other threads and I've made a model of it. Took a kit of a '66 FLH and modified many, many parts to turn it into a "69 Police Special.

Can't wait to see what you've created next!
