sport Some videos of me drifting.

This was filmed in June 2nd, 2007. So a little over a year ago. This was the first drift event I attended, so I wasn't too good at the time. I don't have any newer videos, but soon enough, there will be more. I hope you enjoy.


What sucked about this run is that someone put the last barrel too close to the edge of the skidpad. I transitioned to early, and couldn't extend my drift to go around the last barrel, so I hit it anyway.

And this was like my best run all day, but it wasn't that great either.

Is there oil on the ground or does the car just have really really bad traction?

lol. Thanks. Actually, my car doesn't make much power, so it's not too hard on the tires. Once I go turbo, I should be shredding tires rather quickly. Maybe 2 or 3 pairs per event.

No oil on the ground, and drift cars are actually suposed to have a good amount of traction. It's just violent steering work and clutch kicks are what keep the car sliding. When you start drifting, it's recommended to have some junk tires in the rear, and some really good grip in the front (Falken Azenis RT-615, Hankook RS-2, Dunlop Direzza Z1, etc.). As skill level increases, so should the grip in the rear. Remember, the more grip, the faster you have to go to break the rear end loose.
