I think in one way or another every country "bend" the rule into their favour, which may be considered cheating. It's more of a question of how much China's gold is coming from "bending the rules" and actual talent. I do believe China invested a lot in their athletes though for this specific olympics, and in previous olympics, China seems to be increasingly winning more medals, so at the same time I can believe China's large amount of medals is a credit to their athletes and hard work, but I do believe they haven't followed the rules in everything either.

Right because individual athletes cheating is totally the same as government sponsored cheating...

Well, let's see....so far the Chinese have 44 gold medals. The most they had ever received previous was 32. One other time they topped the 20 mark (they received 28) and they never got out of the teens before that. What does that tell you?

And, a bulk of their golds have come in events that are 'judged' and not 'won'. :-k

You have to admit though.. On a lot of those judged events they have made some nice performances..

just watching some of the events and watching how the chinese went out of bounds and got higher scores than the other competition who never went out of bounds something fishy going on here..
