Next to the gays, Asian stereotype casting is probably the most used in Hollywood and most of the time it's never gets any "controversial" protests or arguments. Most get by for just used for laughs and kicks(pun intended ).

What about that so-called cultural awareness movie "Crash" where was the Asian-American representation in that flick.

That's why I prefer to watch indie flicks instead of mainstream Hollywood movies. They take more chances and risk in their films.

I do agree that there's some closet racism still going on nowadays. But I also don't let it ruin my sleep at night.

All of what you said here is spot on. There is a dearth of strong Asian male roles in Hollywood, and if you don't know Kung Fu good luck. But if you're an Asian woman, COME ON IN AND GET SOME WHITE DICK.

But fret not, Anthem, Harp, Bensonboo and Rush Limbaugh will all console you with the fact you should already know: it's all in your head, racism no longer exists in America. I don't know and don't really care about that movie in particular, but I agree that racism is not a thing of the past. It is alive and kicking, but it often shows itself in other shapes than a few decades ago. And I don't think you'll make much headway moving to Canada (or europe for that matter), cause you'll just run into different types of racism, including those harbored by minorities such as balck people, jews and asians.

It is merely the blatant, raw racism that has vanished from the public sides of western societies, but the subtle or silent kind remains.

It says that once the line was crossed, it was never to be crossed again.

The "Halle Berry" situation that you are referring to is the perpetuation of the white male dominance. In America, white male/ Black female relationships are FAR outnumbered by Black male/ white female relationships. This makes white men feel inadequate. As a result, and in retaliation, white male studio executives take out their frustration by trying to make white men out to be the sexual gods of the universe. This is why white men are allowed to fuck anyone they want on screen, but Black and Asian men are not to touch the sacred white women.

That is how racism works. Those who have power use it to attack those who do not. Black and Asian women are the white man's whores in Hollywood. This is how the Black and Asian males are kept in check.
