British usually take the role of the southern actor. Italians and Latinoes also cover the role of native american.

Question Wyest not sure of your nationality but if you were given a role playing the stereotypical north Vietnese soldier would you take? Or better yet how much would they have to give you. I use to be big into Akira or anime. I use to always wonder why the Japs made the characters all european looking. Then i read something that talked about it they said that cartoons are symbols and depending on what culture you come from you see them as that.

For instance there was a debate on rather micky is a black or white mouse?

But basically cause of the lack of details if you are asian fill in the details with asian characteristics if you are white you fill it in with white characteristics.

That said though there are white characters in anime. But b/c most of the creaters are Asian they only alter the features that asians see as white, like maybe the nose or jaw line is different. And hair color doesnt mean that the character is white or not cause it is normal for asians to dye their hair.

Now the funny things is, from what i know about Japan, China and Korea there isnt that many Blacks in there country (there is a slow growing minority). There isnt a major population of foreigners.

But from what i have seen and remember blacks might be better represented in Asian made video games and Akira then we are in Hollywood movie. Which is funny cause the popular perception of Asians, espacially koreans is that dont care for Americans and look down on Blacks.

I sort of remember that movie sometimes i think that the odds of a movie getting produced and made are proportionate to the blow job talent of the writer, producers, directors ect....

I knew a few writers no major names but they said they make good money writing stuff that is never made. The company buy the scripts and just keep them so the other studios cant get them. They even make money rewriting other people stuff and still not getting it made. I understand it is just get the attention of actors or director.

I dont know what to make of Hollywood i do know that it is far more complicated to put a simple label on them as far as being racist or not.

That's why I always prefer to music over movies because through music there's no visual conflict you might see. I've always visual myself into those songs I like. But with movie, there's good chance that some scenes/themes might make you question about its content sometimes.

I also agree with Ptown's statement saying that nowadays people take the term "racism" for grant and throw it around so easily. Life and society nowadays are much better than ever.
