Actually wiki is pretty good with not having straight up opinions. They have perspectives but are good with not judging.

That said i don't know what you are referring to. I said i dont know why Ossetia wanted to break way from (back in the 90's) Georgia. The government apparently didnt mistreat the people there.

It just seems like Georgia broke away and Ossetia didn't even give Georgia a chance to do something wrong. They just decided to stay as a part of Russia.

As far as the legal stuff goes i would say who cares if Ossetia is legally considered part of Georgia or not. If the people there were treated as second rate citizens (which might not of happen) or threaten by Georgians (which probably didn't happen when this all started in the 90's) then they should be allowed independence.

Yeah, I bet the Mexicans in Texas would support you on that as well..

Latest on the Russian shopping list, US army Hummvees parked at Poti docks to be shipped back to the US army after last months combined US/Georgian exercises.
As in, not US property sold/donated to the Georgians and taken off them but actual US military property. The Americans are decidedly not pleased about this and want them back.

General opinion seems to be that since these are about as secret as a Toyota and not worth diplomatic hassle theyll be returned.

Common sense says a few Russian NCO's are having a real fun time for a few days 4X4 racing round the back hills of Georgia and they'll come back with some new dings and broken springs.

If there are any Black or Latino Russians there those Humvees are going to come back with rims, a new paint job, tiinted windows, all the presets are going to be changed, and a nice sound system. If their is any Jewish Russian soldiers they might come back with leather entire and a nice wax job.

And if theres any Russian Russians they might just burn them to the axles just to prove the US cant order them around.

Say bye bye to all those captured M4's

This is just me thinking ahead but if i count the barrels in amongst that smokey junk theres maybe 100 guns, thats captured stuff from the Georgian military in Ossetia. The Ossetians have just given a big, symbolic raised finger to US/NATO/Georgian integration and voting.

The real payload is the 1600 rifles that the Russians took from Sendaki, wonder where theyre going?

Apparently the Russians have been playing with them and doing compare and contrast to their AK-74 and An-94's and theyre really not impressed.

Looks like the Georgians have got back into Gori and their old barracks!

Looks like discarded Russian 1960s issue steel helmets, mess kits and boots

Meanwhile a lot of Russian are leaving the country in US marine issue clothes, US army issue goggles and kevlar helmets and suspiciously new boots. NATO issue medical kits and tool boxes are also pupular items apparently.

Theres probably a long list of famous french people about to do something nasty to you!

The French only lose when they fight the Brits and the Germans
