| I rented Lost Boys: The Tribe a few days ago, and I liked it. It wasn't near as good as the original, but did definately at least TRY to be in the same spirit. The new cover of Cry Little Sister fit the movie better than the original song would have, and the rest of the music seemed to fit really well. If you do watch it, don't walk away immediately after the credits, trust me, you'll thank me. (edit) Oh and also watched Starship Troopers 3. I was excited to see it, because Casper Van Dien returns as Rico. If anyone was a fan of the first flick (and yes, I've read the book, I like both the book and the movies equally, though separately) they will definately remember the not-so-subtle underlying statements of racism and the paralells to World War 2. Well, the paralells to another war return in this one, that being the current debacle we're in with Iraq. (I won't go into a good/bad discussion on the war.) The references are quick, early, and plentiful. Unsurprisingly, the writer/director for this film is the same as the first two films, which isn't necessarily a good thing, if you've seen ST2. The plot was fairly straightforward, predictable at times, but still enjoyable enough. It wasn't until around the middle part of the film, that I started rolling my eyes so hard, they began picking up cars and people. Yes, old Mr Religion rears its ugly head to ruin an otherwise decent film. The Religious fervor was so THICK towards the end of the movie...the knife you WERE cutting it with got stuck. If the religious garbage had been left to rot out in the sun like it should have been, this movie would've at least gotten above a 6/10 from me, but after all that, I can't give it above a 4.

| I think I gotta take a look at Starship Troopers 3... not much love for number 2, huh? Never even knew they made a 2! Took a watch at an oldie that came and went when it first came through the theatres and it's still an odd, crafty suspense flick by John Landis. He should have done more stuff like this cause he could be very violent and fulla movie craft. "Into the Night" ![]() Magnum

| ![]() LOVE this film. Watched it on blu ray. It some ways it pissed me off because I didnt think there would be much difference between this and my dvd but the detail on such an old film is incredible! That means ill be slowly updating my 'fav' films over time

| Good to see MAX!!!!!! ( I got a game in Forum Games that asked the question: Max OR Snake? Go get'em Lee is Bob!) Finally saw "The Boondock Saints" after hearing so much of it... It wasn't bad. The Brothers McManus were pretty good characters, with better writing and structure fleshed out they could be much better I think. ![]() Magnum

| Hancock ![]() I had heard the various critics complain...and some movie going folk didn't like it...I say pfffffffffffffffffffffffft! I found this an enjoyable movie with humor, adult situations without getting too vulgar and heartwarming as well. And I guarantee it will not go where you think it may, when you watch the first half
