New Hitchhikers book planned

It seems there will be another book in the 'trilogy' I hope it at least does my favourite author justice.

I don't see why it was necessary to continue the series, but at least the stuff Eoin Colfer wrote so far is pretty damn good. And his sense of humour is similar to Adams', so maybe this will turn out rather nicely.

This will be interesting to see. The old Doug Adams series was fantastic!

Let's hope the new author works out.

Have you read any of his stuff then? I thought the Artemis Fowl series was quite nice.

I haven't read the Artemis Fowl series, but I've heard it's good.

It's often not easy to recreate an author's style.

I remember the Robot City fiasco, where different authors tried to write a series of books based on Isaac Asimov's style and robot concept. It didn't go well.

Same with some Anne McCaffery series that guest authors mostly wrote.

On the other hand, Tolkein's son did rather well with stories based on his father's work.

Let's see how Colfer does. I'll check it out when it's released.
