Idea - If they know that particular type of radiation hurts the cylons after a time...why not flood every fleet ship with it and then watch the clock....

It was Adama...remember after they were sealed inside it was Adama and the Cylon that had to try and find another way out...that's when the Cylon started to get 'sick' from the radiation.

According to the latest episode Tigh impregnated a 6 model (good call on the choice of cylons to boink )

The final cylon didn't respond to the music like the other 4 and in my mind there's two possible reasons why: Either the final cylon wasn't onboard galactica and was not in a position to respond or the final cylon was already aware he was a cylon and was the one orchestrating the meeting of the other 4.

A pic was released of the cast sitting along a table and a statement was made that the final cylon was not one of the people at the table which rules out admiral adama, lee adama, the president and kara thrace.





The producers also said the final cylon would shock people because he has earned a lot of trust from the viewers. So with that stuff in mind I reckon the final cylon is either Billy who would not have been in a position to respond to the music like the others but has earned peoples trust and as a cylon has the possibility of coming back from the dead, or the final cylon is Gaeta. And i'm leaning a lot more heavily towards Gaeta as he does more stuff to progress the story and the journey to Earth than any other character. With every new episode the guys seems to be up to something new:

Cylon Transponder: There were cylons throughout the colonial fleet who didn't bother going to the trouble of making their ship appear friendly, why would they need to? Look at Pegasus, why was there no transponder their despite having cylon agents onboard? It was never proved that the cylon they left behind at Ragnar anchorage put it there and there's no reason why he should have. Gaeta however as a member of the final five would have had a vested interest in placing a transponder on galactica so other cylons would pick up the transponder and read it as a friendly ship to prevent it being attacked in the opening hours of the conflict and he would have been well placed to plant it.

Jump Co-ordinates: Gaeta seems to have a real mind for plotting jumps, even long range jumps well out into unknown space. Cylon computers can do just the same thing, they can plot far further and more accurately than human computers and considering how big a universe it is it's funny that Gaeta keeps plotting jumps out to key spots like the orbit of Kobol.

Boomers Activation: Moments before Boomers shoots Adama the camera pans down to focus on Gaeta and Boomer shaking hands. Some people have suggested this is because he hands her a gun but now that we know cylons can communicate through their flashy red eyes (even the human models) is the camera actually panning away from their faces to hide the fact that Gaeta activated Boomer's cylon programming. Considering he plotted her jumps on top of water and tylium I think he may have been attempting to test her throughout the first season trying to get her to reveal herself.

Baltar: Gaeta is the one who decides to run the security checks again to reveal the photo as fake when Baltar is accused of blowing up the defence systems, and he was the assistant on the cylon detector making him well placed to avoid detection himself and to protect the identities of the others of the final five. He also reveals the election was faked to secure Baltars presidency and then acts as both presidential adviser and contact for the new caprica resistance.

Athena: Gaeta networked the computers and put up the firewalls, they were enough for him to replot a jump without the systems being overun but enough of the virus got past him for Sharon to be given the perfect opportunity to prove her loyalty to Adama by removing the virus and wiping out a cylon fleet with it. It just strikes me as another point where Gaeta seems to be opening the door to test the Valeri model to see whose side she's really on.

The thing that bothers me about Gaeta is that he seems to be behind every major event that happens but remains an ancilliary character and that just strikes me as odd. I would suggest the reason he didn't respond to the music like the other four is because he was the one orchestrating their meeting. activating them for whatever reason, possibly in the hopes one of them would be able to save the day (as anders did). I haven't got season 3 on DvD yet but as soon as I do i'm going to watch the last episode very carefully to find out what Gaeta is up to whilst the others are hearing music. Iirc he wasn't even on the bridge when all hell broke loose at the end. He's been on the bridge almost permanently throughout the other episodes but when the other 4 cylons activate, the fleet loses power, the cylons turn up in force and Kara Thrace comes back from the dead Gaeta is nowehere to be seen...



I didn't actually write all this, it was on an EVE forum, but it's a pretty convincing argument......

You American types: was there an episode shown on Friday, and was it episode 9 cause that last one I saw here in the UK was episode 8 and that was last Tuesday and according to SKY instead of BSG next week is a 2 hour series finale of Lost. So I'm all at sixes and sevens (no pun intended)
