| I found The Hills Have Eyes to be quite unpleasant. Sure, there are plenty more movies that are just as gruesome but the rape of the girl put me off the rest of the movie. That said, good topic and am looking forward to the Day of the Dead remake, as the original was a little dull. |

| I look forward to Hostel 2 as well...I have high hopes for it. Right now, IMO, the Saw series is the best horror franchise going right now. But I did like both TCM movies (the remake of the original and the prequel). I do hate just about any PG-13 rated horror movie because most of them suck.

| Do you think a remake of the Evil Dead would be a good idea ?

Personally, I'm still waiting for a really good horror movie to freak me out. Most of the current horror movies are just repeated crap, have no plot and just plain suck. There are however a few out there that are very awesome. I wouldn't count The Hills Have Eyes as a horror really, more along the lines of Hostel and Saw, a psychological mind-horror. For me, horror actually has to be scary, not just violent. Probably the latest movie to genuinely scare me was The Descent, mainly because of how dark most of the movie was. In about fifty horror movies I've watched since 2005 after the Descent, The Hills Have Eyes made me jump once, where Bobby jumps at the window when his sister is inside. Then again, I did raise an eyebrow to the eyeball scene during Hostel.

| Big horror movie buff over here (sci-fi, too). Sadly, I've not seen many of the newer horror flicks (like the Saw series), but my tastes generall run towards oldies/classics, anyway. Love me some Vincent Price and Boris Karloff, and Romero's zombie flicks still hold a very special place in my rotting, putrescent heart.

| Now see, that movie I didn't like. Maybe it was all the build-up and hype it received before I saw it, but for me it was a HUGE let down.

There is no way that it could be improved upon. Period. Although there are plenty of remakes that I like - personally for me, I don't really care for the original TCM. I had heard so much about it and when I finally watched it (which actually wasn't all that long ago) I was really let down. I think the remake of it is far superior. Of course having Jessica Biel in it didn't hurt. I liked the remake of the Hills Have Eyes - don't remember if I saw the original or not. If I did, it was a loooooooong time ago. And there are some PG-13 horror-type movies that I did like. The Skeleton Key (not truly horror, but in the scary movie genre) I thought was really good. And I actually liked the first Ring movie, but all the Japanese remakes have gone downhill from there. The Grudge sucked and I will not watch the Grudge 2. I saw the Ring 2, which was not terrible, but nothing great either. Here is one I liked but seems like a lot of people trash, so let me get your opinions on it. Have you seen Rest Stop and if so what were your thoughts? Likes? Dislikes?

As for the clowns, Pennywise is awesome. If you watch the '90 movie, then read the book, it makes him even more creepier....

As for It, I never saw the movie but I read the book. Definitely a good way to keep you up at night...but then again, most King books are good at that!
