the only thing wrong with the first one was the last 30 mins or so the second one was bad for 90 mins

horror movies sometimes (only sometimes) have to be somewhat believable

Yeah, the Robert Carlisle surviving everything when turned for some reason was just lame. His character had the best part in the whole flick considering what he did in the beginning.

The first one was fresh and not just some zombie stuff for a change. Sick of the zombies and anything infected in movies!!!!!!!!!!

I'm trying to think of something redeeming to say about this film, but I can't seem to come up with anything. I would say it's running time of only 71 minutes, but those 71 minutes felt 3 times that long.

The movie was, in a word, horrible. The acting sucked, the actors couldn't keep straight faces in areas of the film that weren't even remotely funny. Cartoonish sound effects were used throughout the film and the gore was basically non-existent. And to make it even worse, this film that was shot on video, was doctored with effects to make it look like it was a 'shot on film' movie from the 70's.

Avoid this at all costs...I wish I had.

Finally saw "Scanners" from beginning to end since I've only seen parts here and there over the years. Aside from the bad acting by the principle actor, it's a good movie. It's classified as horror but it's probably more suspense and sci fi than anything else.

Don't know if the thing is still gonna be remade cause it's been talked about for years but it could be a real thought out, smartly made psychological work today... with a head exploding for good measure, of course!

Like to see Scanners up against the "telly's" in "The Fury."
