No, just a new take on the flick..I'd say for the time period, the original was more brutal than the remake and full frontal nudity! Talk about a dead bush...

Savini's has its own charm and the gore is in color.

The user reviews on Netflix (and IMDB now that I have checked it) weren't very kind, but going in with low expectations, I thought it ended up being halfway decent, especially for a direct-to-video release. It had a creepy atmosphere and there was some good gore (and a couple of cringe-worthy scenes).

It was worth watching...I'd say it was average to slightly above average for a current horror flick.

"Dead Birds"

This is a neat movie. Not a "big" film but a very good one. Clever and with a historical atmosphere that's well done.

OK, this one isn't even worth a review! It's a total piece shit! Bad acting, bad writing and nothing as far as gore or even scares! I paid $1.99 for it a Hastings in their "previously owned" bin and I feel completely ripped off!

Now this one is a completely different story! I really like this one! Very creepy ghost story! Not any gore to speak of but the atmosphere makes up for it! Worth a watch!

Now here's a bloody film that's a bit on the bizarre side. It seems that the UK censors didn't like it at all and banned the DVD release entirely:

I saw the 'R' rated version and I see from the film's website that there is an unrated version...I thought the 'R' rated version was a bit OTT, I can't imagine what was cut out of it, but according to IMDB they cut more than 20 minutes out of the film for the 'R' rated DVD (DVD run time 83 minutes, unrated run time 105 minutes)

Don't be fooled, she's only in the film for like the last 5 minutes (well, at least the last 5 minutes of the R rated version, I dunno about the unrated version)
