Oh heck no. Lots of them were great. But a lot of them fell into that category where in lieu of actual story they tried to work in as many characters as possible. It's one of the things that made TDKR such a great book was that there wasn't much mention of other characters, and the ones that were there (Supes, Ollie) fit well into the story.

The only one that really worked with a multitude of characters was Kingdom Come. But look at the talent behind that.

Default My what big... wings... you have

So I have a bunch of Purgatori comics on the computer. (Why you ask? To which I say, you need ask?) While not exactly what I'd call "classic" they are entertaining.

And not just because the main character's a long-legged, well-stacked, bi-sexual (but prefers girls) demon/vampire who runs around in skimpy clothes.

Honestly, it's not that.

First up, an collection of Big Red vs other heroines with similar... ah... motifs. Five comics in all (two versions of the Lady D, two versions of Chastity, and one with Vampirella.)

I see your point now, and I agree that sometimes it seems they just try to put kooky versions of old characters, just for the sake of it.

I did like Red Son, though. I didn't feel like the characters were crammed in, as the story does cover a long time, there's usually a clever explanation for them, and they rarely interact with each other (mostly just with Supes) until the very end.

Have you read The Golden Age? That one works as well, but it's more like an alternate timeline, not an entire redesign of the characters.

Default Vampire Myths

Ok - going to try and upload all of this as chronologically as I can, grouped (more or less) by story arc. Bear with me.

And please keep in mind: she's a lesbian vampire. So don't come crying to me if you're offended by sex and violence. You've been warned.

I know I know..I asked before but figured I would try one last time before I bug everyone. Does anyone have the GLC (green lantern corps) run that is going on now from the beginning? Thanks all

Another question...whats the best way to get my collection digital to be posted? Just straight scanning? Seems like it would take forever

I've got the first 8 issues, I'll put it up as soon as Rapidshare decides to let me... I can't upload anything tonight for some reason.

As for getting your stuff uploaded, scanning is about the only way, but it's pretty tough to do and have it come out right. Some of the guys from OCD and DCP have been doing it for years, and there's usually a big difference between their scans and the stuff an amateur can do. I guess all I'm really saying is don't expect your first effort at it to be a masterwork

My guess, for what it's worth, is that they have to take the comic apart. Separate the pages, and then some very nice software and a high-end scanner. But it sounds very labor intensive.

Either that they have spies at DC, Marvel, and elsewhere, and get a hold of the proofs.

Default P vs D

Okay, the next installment of the lady in red... er, the red lady in black? This is a nine-issue zip of a one-shot, a sketchbook, and then a 7 comic story arc featuring everyone's favorite headlining vampire.

Oh, and Dracula's in it, too.

Default OMG - they killed Cappy! You bastards!

I noticed that we had Fallen Son #1 and #5, but nothing in between. So I thought I'd fix that. My therapist tells me it's important to go through all the stages, after all.

I did not upload 1 and 5 bcs they are already posted (and the links still work).

And this might just be me, but I've always secretly hoped someone would give Spider-woman the ol' Chaos comics treatment.
