Yeah, that was my point...

It was always the case that the three people within Marvel that were dead, and would forever STAY dead were Bucky, Uncle Ben and Captain Marvel.

And all three have returned in some fashion in the last couple of years...

My problem with Marvel is that they are trying to put in too much of the 'real' world in their comics. Fuck that! When I want 'real world' I turn on the news.

I read comics to ESCAPE the real world, to go to a land where good and evil are definable and where men can fly, wear armour, throw shields and sling webs. And women can create weather, throw cars, and turn invisible.

The two worlds cannot co-exist.

I think I am one of the few people who read comic books who don't mind them killing off characters every so often.
It is usually a good way to reboot and character who was no longer relevant (Green Lantern and Green Arrow are good examples of this) or just to tell some good stories (The Deaths of Superman and Hawkman as well as the crippling of Batman)

I am sure Marvel have a book storyling up their sleeve to bring back the Cap. Let's just hope they can make it a humdinger

Thanks for the help.

I haven't kept up with comics in years, although I'll read the graphic novels in a bookstore. So, I was totally unfamiliar with the original storylines the What If storylines tweaked. Last I heard, there was a third Summers brother and there were all these hints that it was going to be Gambit.

Here is most of The Ultimates, Marvel's ultimate universes avengers.

Its missing issue #11 and #13 from the second volume so if any of you have or know where to find them it would be appreciated.

Anyways here they are, 26 comics broken out into 4 rars.

Can somebody please upload this one? I wasn't originally interested in this one, but now I know that this comic is talking about Bucky, Captain America's partner from WWII. As somebody mentioned, Bucky was supposed to be one of the three characters who would never return to life but now he has.

I don't mind this. Marvel has always existed in the real world, in NYC, unlike DC Universe where they live in cities like Gotham or Metropolis. And, with Marvel, they've always included the 'real' world in their comics, albeit allegorically like with mutant phobia to talk about the real world issue of racism.

I thought the Ultimate X-Men issues were fresh, and more importantly, good stories under Millar although that storyline suffered later on, when Millar was no longer involved with it.

Did anybody else have any problems with the issue six, in the first rar? It only shows a few pages of that issue, and I don't know if I should simply reload that whole thing again.

When you extracted it, did you get any error messages? If so, a reload's a good idea.

I'm just glad the whole Civil War is about done. I'm disappointed because this could've been the best time for Spider-man to exhibit his "new powers" since his rebirth in "The Other" storyline...but not much of that really happened. Guess it was just another gimmick to get more sales.

I don't mind a character being killed, as long as they stay dead or, as long as the resurrection story is believable. Doctor Octopus died and he was brought back by a mystic cult?

And Norman Osborn was dead, and Marvel just had to bring him back. Just don't kill them if you know they're coming back a few issues later guys

Yeah, editors at Marvel have been fumbling their own stories for a while now.

Cool Civil War Torrent

Speaking of Marvel's Civil War, here is a torrent for the whole thing! 98 comics, a total of 1.2 gb!

http://torrentspy.com/torrent/102879...mplete_1_21_07

It's a very healthy torrent, with over 200 seeds and over 200 peers!

Oh, and if you don't have a torrent downloader, I recommend UTorrent.

http://www.download-utorrent.com/?gc...FQi9VAodjkrFpQ

*edit*

I just found out that this is complete as of the end of Jan. The last few episodes released in Feb. and later are not included. Still, it's most of it!

The comments section of the torrentspy page tell which issues are missing.

Thanks for the Ultimates. I forget how much I enjoyed reading them, and anymore would be just house money at this point. For me, the story never sagged.

And, what's the opinion about Civil War series? I tend to like what I've read of Millar so far, but that's a large chunk of comics for a story that doesn't really appear that interesting on paper . Looking back, were the stories any good or were they just a promotional vehicle to sell comics? Or, both?

I do not take credit for the following contribution. The gods have given me their blessing, so I don't expect trouble for this.

Credit goes to asdfg, a guy who had the Ali G thing going on some time before Drunk Monk showed up. I don't think I have to explain this to you guys:

V for Vendetta

About 110 MB, several .cbr files (possibly 10).

Enjoy.
