Question about pics

I've noticed no one here really seems to be a fan of thumbnails. Personally I like the 'browseability' of thumbed pic sets or just thumbed links in threads. Like browsing the 'post ur wallpaper' thread is a pain in the ass cuz its all stretchy and I have a widescreen monitor! I hate having to use the horizontal scroll bar! That being said would everyone prefer hotlinked full size images when I post porn or pic sets? If so what are some good image hosts that allow hotlinking?

I don't mind thumbs, Typically though threads like the post your wallpaper or post a random pic are done with fullsize using the site uploader.

As far as the porn sections, usually thumbs are fine with Vids and for pic posts it's more a personal preference. Some people don't like to click on every individual pic. If you choose to use thumbs just make sure you label them TGP in the thread title.

As far as good pic hosts go, they are always changing. This site can be really bandwidth hungry to good pic hosts when everyone uses them for fullsize pics so they tend to get blocked here.
The site image host is good for single fullsize or multiple thumbs, as far as other alternatives just keep an eye on what others are using and how fast and reliable they seem to be.

Hotlinking isnt really a great idea, we have issues with some of the sites due to bandwidth, theres only so many little yellow frogs of doom or Photobucket badges you can see in a day.

Some of the old time and high quality posters arent big fans of thumbs (anybody from Team z basically) but for general posting nobody minds too much as long as you title your post properly with (TGP) or something

There are advantages and disadvantages to both styles. I use either.

Currently, it's a matter of personal preference, so use whichever works best for you.

If you do go with thumbs, read the rules for a list of banned filehosts. The most popular ones acceptable for use are Simplyrandom and Imagevenue. And mark "TGP" in the titles of threads using thumbnail gallery pictures.

im on a laptop and the screen is really small so if the pics are really big i will post both regular and TGP. but i've only had to do that once. the rest are regular size pics. my computer is really old and takes forever when i click on a thumb to look at it when it could already be there for me to see in the thread.

I think I'll stick to thumbs for the vids but if I post more pics in the future I'll at least try to post some full size [like an appetizer at least]. I will also be sure to label any thumbed galleries TGP! I'm looking forward to further contributing to this wonderful site!
