Help Delete me

Hello,
We'll try this again.I created a thread asking about the delete functionality being missing after making a post

I've made my post..
I've gone to edit/advanced...
where is the damn delete button??

would someone put my face in the right direction pls?

It's possible that the delete function is disabled if it's the first post in the thread. (implication being, if you delete the post, the whole thread gets deleted)

In which case, you'll have to bug one of us to do it for you.

I've been having the same problem, even in replies. You may be right Wy, the entire function may be disabled.

I use it when I forget to quote someone.Tonight it happened with IFBear.
He made a post and my reply post ended up at the top of the next page.

I wanted to remove it, quote him and then carry on

Instead...now everything is carved in stone

Those kinds of core board-wide settings are still under purview of DM alone. He locked us out of a whole kit of administrative toys because we kept busting into the cookie jar.

As long as you can edit your own posts, you should always be able to essentially "delete" commentary by writing over it or simply putting in a Comment Deleted until you can get one of us to wipe the post completely.
