See, firefox designers have been claiming for years that the 'next version' will fix the memory issues. I know this because I was a very early adopter, long before they ever released version 1.0 back in 2004 or whatever it was (actually, the 0.x days were kinda cool, cause you knew you had an emerging technology and each pre 1.0 edition added a substantial number of new features, and often incorporated the best loved extensions right into the core features). In fact, I was very convinced by all the endless designer propaganda that 1.0 would fix it, because they kept making all these claims about how the 'memory issue' was their number 1 concern. Anyway, after 1.5 hit and the issues just got incrementally worse, I finally bailed on it.

Firefox will never fix the memory issues. Ever. They've been claiming they will for half a decade now and if anything, things have only gotten worse.

And when you have 256mb of memory, this is a concern.

And to be honest, I switched to firefox for the supposed security advantages over IE, unaware that Opera always had a superior record to ANY other browser (and it still does). Also, Opera had tabs first I believe, and IE has long since added them, so firefox has lost it's purpose as far as I am concerned.

I can't take it anymore, Felix, I'm cracking up. Everything you do irritates me. And when you're not here, the things I know you're gonna do when you come in irritate me. You leave me little notes on my pillow. Told you 158 times I can't stand little notes on my pillow. "We're all out of cornflakes. F.U." Took me three hours to figure out F.U. was 'Felix Unger'.
